P&O Cruises Reviews

The food was alright on some nights, but the dining service really put a dampener on things. Nearly every evening felt slow, and the staff always seemed a bit rushed off their feet. We waited ages for drinks, and plates sat there for far too long before being cleared. A couple of meals even came out cold, which was frustrating. I’d been looking forward to the dining on our P&O holiday, so it was disappointing more than anything.

I was expecting disembarkation to be a bit of a hassle, but it was actually really smooth. The staff kept things organized, the lines moved along, and our bags were right where they were supposed to be. that’s all you really want at the end of a trip, no confusion, no standing around forever, just a straightforward way to get going. We were in a taxi quickly and left feeling relaxed instead of stressed.

Right from the first time I opened the app, it felt easy to figure out. I was able to find my bookings and check the menus quickly without having to dig around

I had a feeling the food here would be good, most nights it proved me right. The dishes were tasty and I usually found something I enjoyed. The buffet did start to feel a little repetitive after a while, but I guess that kind of confirmed what I already thought about buffets in general. Still, overall, I was happy with the meals.

Boarding with P&O Cruises was really smoother than I thought it would be. We arrived at the port a little early, and the staff were friendly, checked our documents quickly, and kept everything moving without any fuss.

Our bags were taken straight away, and before we knew it, we were already on the ship. It was really stress-free and simple, which made the start of the holiday feel relaxed right away...

Really enjoyed the bars onboard, they were spot on. We never had to wait long at all and after a couple of days the staff even remembered our usual drinks which was a nice touch. Cocktails were lovely too, definitely not weak. Made our evenings so much better

Canceling was no biggie, but the refund took way longer than I expected. Kinda slow, ngl.

We booked this place thinking it would be a good fit for the kids, but it ended up being a little disappointing. The kids club hours were kind of awkward, and a few areas felt either too crowded or just not really geared toward families. The staff were friendly enough, but we spent so much time trying to figure out what the kids could actually do that I felt mentally drained by the end of each day. It wasn’t terrible, just not the easy family getaway we were hoping for.

We had a really good time with P&O Cruises. There was always something happening, which suited us perfectly. We got stuck into a few quizzes, watched a couple of shows, gave the dance class a go, and probably spent more time by the pool than we planned to. The activity staff were great too — friendly, laid-back, and never pushy. Even on sea days, we didn’t feel bored for a minute. Would definitely book again.

We booked with P&O and the entertainment was alright... not awful by any means, but not something that really blew us away either.

Some of the singers were really decent and a couple of the theatre shows were enjoyable, so there were definitely good moments. Most evenings there was something going on, but a few of the acts felt a bit old-fashioned, and the quizzes started to feel samey after a while...
I would’ve liked a bit more variety, especially on sea days when you’re looking for more to fill the time. We still had some fun nights and made the most of it, I just came away thinking it could’ve been a bit better overall...

I booked few shore excursions with P&O and overall they were fine, just not anything amazing. One guide was really good and made the trip interesting, but another tour felt rushed and little overpriced for what we actually got. The coaches were clean and timings were mostly okay, so it was handy if you don’t want to plan everything yourself. I just wish some of the tours gave you more time to look around instead of feeling like you had to keep moving.

I wasn’t super impressed at first because they took a while to get back to me, and I wasn’t sure it was going anywhere. But to be fair, they did sort it out in the end, so I guess it worked out okay

I mean, it was okay, but I’m not really sure it justified the cost. For what I ended up getting, it felt a bit pricey, and I probably wouldn’t buy it again.

I get that busy days happen and everyone wants a chance to enjoy the place, but it felt a bit unfair paying full price when we spent so much time stuck in queues. It was packed pretty much everywhere, and we had to wait for almost everything. The experience would’ve been a lot better if the crowds were managed more evenly.

When I got onboard, I noticed there was dust in quite a few places around the cabin. It wasn’t the worst thing ever, and everything else was okay, but it did make the space feel like it hadn’t been cleaned as thoroughly as it should’ve been.

I tried browsing the site to look at cruises, it was a frustrating experience. The pages were loading really slowly, the filters kept resetting on me after I’d already picked what I wanted, and the booking process felt confusing and kind of scattered. After about 20 minutes of fighting with it, I just gave up. For such a big company, I expected the website to be a lot smoother.

Boarding went smoothly overall, so that part was nice. The port staff sounded like they’d probably explained the same thing a hundred times already, so I’m guessing it was a busy day for them. My only real issue was the signs around the port could’ve been a bit clearer, since I wasn’t always totally sure where to go next.

I loved the spa onboard. The steam room was so relaxing, and the massages basically made my whole week. It was exactly what I needed to fully unwind, SO worth it.

Had a good trip with P&O overall. The ship was clean, and I kept noticing staff here and there fixing little bits around the deck, which was good to see. A few areas did look a bit tired, like you can tell it’s been well used, but it didn’t spoil the holiday at all. We still had a nice time, and actually I was more bothered about the weather than any of that

I think the booking went through fine in the end, but it felt a little more fiddly than I expected. Not a huge issue, though it did take me a bit longer than I thought it would.
